There’s no better way to show how much fun one can have in the Philippines than through our local celebrations we call fiestas. Most of the festivities are concentrated during the early months of the year – Aklan’s Ati-atihan, and Cebu’s Sinulog are scheduled during the first month of the calendar year which makes January the month for the most anticipated fiestas of the year.
First up is the Ati-atihan Festival of Aklan. With different versions of the celebration across the province Ibajay, Makato, etc, the most popular of which would still be that of it’s city proper – Kalibo. Here’s the official Ati-atihan schedule of activities to help you make the most of the last day of celebration. Hala bira!
